The PLW-02.B lightning strike counter is used to record all direct lightning discharges in an external lightning protection system. It works by counting pulses of the electromagnetic field generated by the lightning discharge current flowing through the discharge cable of the lightning protection system. The discharges are recorded on a built-in electromechanical meter. The reading of the number of discharges in the range from 0 to 999 takes place directly from the reading field. The PLW-02.B counter does not require battery power. The recorder is mounted on the discharge conductor of the lightning protection system, in a convenient place above the control connector, usually at a height of 1.5-2 m above the ground.
