GROMOSTAR Lightning Conductors

GROMOSTAR - lightning conductor with early leader emission (Fr. PDA - Paratonnerre à Dispositif d'Amorçage, ESE - Early Streamer Emission) is the main element of a lightning protection system protecting a building against fire and damage resulting from lightning discharges.

Effectiveness of action - a patented technical solution

Direct admission of the atmospheric discharge by the GROMOSTAR lightning conductor is preceded by the process of generating ionization, which occurs faster than in the case of ionization from other elements in its area of protection. Thanks to this operation it is possible to direct the lightning strike directly to the lightning conductor, and then to bring the current through the discharge conduit to earth. The high efficiency of operation is enabled by the original technical solution used in the lightning conductor, covered by patents in Poland and in many countries around the world.

High quality and durability

Each lightning conductor available in our range is made of certified materials (stainless steel, copper, polyurethane resin) and resistant to weather conditions. Thanks to its unique construction, it gains adequate resistance to multiple lightning strikes. The production process of lightning conductors and their quality control is subject to the requirements of ISO 9001 and Qualifoudre INERIS.

Laboratory tests and certificates

GROMOSTAR lightning conductors have been tested for effectiveness as well as lightning and corrosion resistance in accordance with NF C17-102:2011 and PN-EN 50164-1:2010 in high voltage laboratories: at the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion in Warsaw, SIAME at Pau University (France) and at the ITB Building Materials Laboratory in Warsaw.

GROMOSTAR lightning protection devices have a manufacturer's declaration of conformity, a 10-year warranty and a certificate issued by the Institute of Power Engineering in Warsaw (No. 002/2016) confirming the product's compliance with the PN-EN 62561-1 standard.

Choosing a lightning conductor

Depending on the technical requirements of the place of installation, most of all the volume of the building and the desired level of protection (I, II, III, IV), it is necessary to choose the appropriate type of lightning conductor.

We offer you four types of GROMOSTAR lightning conductors: 60, 45, 35, 25 available in two material versions (stainless steel, copper). All types of lightning conductors are also available with a test system (marked with the letter "T"). The built-in test system allows you to check the technical condition, including the electrical parameters of the lightning conductor, without the need to disassemble it.
