Lightning protection

Lightning protection systems which are supposed to protect buildings by means of eliminating or minimizing the effects of lightning are a basic element of the safety of buildings and their surroundings.

Comprehensive lightning protection consists of:

• external protection, which aims to directly admit the atmospheric discharge and take the current to the ground,
• internal protection, aimed at eliminating possible surges created as a result of atmospheric discharges, penetrating into the electrical system of the protected building.
